About
My name is Joseph. I come from Buru Buru Family Base and am eighteen years old. I have lived in this place for one and a half years. I met the Undugu Society of Kenya and became an association member.
My life was very bad before I met Undugu. It was not easy to get food and sometimes I had to sleep under the lorry. I used drugs like bangi (marijuana) and cigarettes and had bad friends that showed me how to be a thief, among other bad things.
However, when I met Undugu my life turned good, as did others. I stopped doing all those bad things. I was like a new baby because I started a new life and became proud of myself.
One thing I have learned in my life is that education is better than gold. I would like to tell the young generation and other friends, brothers and sisters that without education your life is empty. Education is key to human life.
The other thing that I would like to tell them is to avoid drugs because they are killing our generation.
So let’s avoid drugs and embrace education, as I have in my life.
