MY GREAT WISH

July 17, 2009 · 1 Comment

My great wish is If I have frapped I can fly to take off this world, this word make me sad by moment because we see or hear how youth killed by police here in Kenya while they innocent.
The day I never forgot it is Friday 3 June 2009 I walking along the street , soon I saw group of people running near where I was and every one carried some items with big bags which I Don’t what was in those bags. But beside I saw another group which was wearing yellow clothes which was chased the first group I wonder what going on.
When I look well saw I known the fast group was hawkers and another was city council chased some hawkers from the town because it is illegal sold some items in town with out license of city counicil.

But a few minute I saw group police which everyone have a weapons,Iwonder why police worked for onther department and that is not serious matter and this matter happen every day in town between hawkers and city council of nairobi,They running where the another groups was after few minute I hear gun sound and when I gone where sound was I found one guy felted down and near the I saw have blood flow and other side I saw many shoes around the guy I notice that he sold some shoes so he is hawker. Every who was there was sad to saw how police destroy youth life.
I asked myself who gone fighting youth right here in Kenya. But I think in Kenya have group which for human right, If they take this serious thing and work for it I think this gone end.

People all over the world were happy to celebrate the chosen one who is Barack Obama.obama-photos-by-niedlich

Photo by: niedlich ( a user on Flickr)

It was on Wednesday 5th November 2008 when announcement were made all over the world that Obama has won the USA election over Mccain. In Kenya people liked Obama that is why the president of Kenya announced one day holiday to celebrate Obama win.

Many people celebrated the day by shouting black man in white house and others were screaming happily but the Police started harassing them and arresting them and taking them to the police station and before arrest you they asked your tribe and where you coming from if will be a LUO they take you free, if another tribe they arrest you and if you give them money they take you free. Were doing that because Obama’s father he was LUO, People wondered why the police did that and it was holiday to celebrate and everyone  have right to celebrate, not only kenya all over in africa

I think Obama has his vision to avoid tribalism over the world, because many people were killed by tribal wars in many countries, so we need one love and one country. Is up to you to make sure all this change and changes to fight we these leaders through advice those leaders who causes people to fight and have corruption.

Many leaders ruling their countries with corruption because no one to shown them right way, remember the whole world facing is you so people will follow your steps if you rule well.

She Was Helped But She Did Not Help Herself

November 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

My heart pumped like wet hen when I found my friend lying down and she was dead.
It was on last week Friday in the morning, when I was still sleeping I heard a voice coming from my neighbor hood, immediately I wake up and I found a crowed of people at my neighbor hood other screaming and they were surrounding some thing.

My mind think let me see what they were looking at, I found my friend lying down and she was dead and she was covered with white cloth sheets.

Her parents did not have much money to take her to mortuary but there is a group that helps those who are affected by HIV/AIDS.  The group is called K.E.N.W.A. (Kenya Network Women With AIDS)

The group helped my friend for along time by providing her with anti-viral therapy drugs that made her healthy and also they gave her much advice. For one month she refused to take drugs, then she died. If she continued taking drugs still she could be alive, I don’t blame K.E.NW.A. I blame her.

My friend died when she was twenty-two years and she had one child, a boy but her parents do not have enough money to care of their grandson. K.E.N.W.A took care of the child.  I thank K.E.N.W.A for their good work by providing people with condoms, living advice and drugs.

Good work government for fighting against aids mostly the youth by teaching them through media on radios, TV, magazines, newspapers and posters. It up to you people to listen up to the government and other organizations.

SHAME ON THOSE WHO EMPLOY CHILDREN

October 27, 2008 · 1 Comment

“Ah, avoid this,” I said to her.

It is a serious thing when schools girls are seen working in bars or clubs. Yesterday I was walking in the street in the evening when I heard noise coming from a bar. When I went in, I thought people were fighting, but I didn’t find anyone fighting. It was the drunkards who were talking.

Near the one guy, there was a girl who has brown skin. Her face shines like the crack of dawn. She has long hair, which is black like charcoal and she is not so fat. She likes to wear earrings, jeans, and short t-shirts that show her stomach.

That girl is almost in class eight and is 14 years old. When she comes home from school, she removes her uniform and starts her work. Drunkards like to watch her, but I don’t know why. Maybe she serves them well or maybe they just like her. They talk nonsense to the girl about sex and how to become a prostitute.

Her parents know of the work that their daughter does, but they do not try to stop her. They know that it is illegal for a school child to work in a bar. Can you believe it?

Students are supposed to go home to review their schoolwork, not go to a bar. In order to decrease prostitution, schools girls should not be working in bars because there, they learn many things, which are not good. Children need a good education and need their rights respected. It is a painful thing to see children working in bars.a boy he caring a child

To avoid this, children need more advice from their parents and teachers. Even the children need self-control and respect. The government is doing okay to avoid child labor, but only in the daytime. The police patrol and arrest those who are employing children and take them to jail and to court but police officers need night shifts to patrol for child labor because there are children employed at night like the one I told you about. Government, keep busy on this.

No One Is Perfect

October 13, 2008 · 1 Comment

It was a narrow escape when my uncle wanted to kill me with drugs.

It was on 20 April 2007 when I started staying with my uncle after I had lost my mother when I was 17 years old and almost finished class seven. I didn’t want to live with my father because he had already divorced my mother and I did not like my stepmother. So I wanted to stay with my uncle, who I thought was a very good man.

After several months, I noticed that my uncle used harmful drugs like cocaine, marijuana, kaht (miraa), and cigarettes. I had only known that my uncle smoked cigarettes before. He continued to use drugs until he went crazy.

One day, my uncle came home in the evening and his eyes were red and in his hand was a small bottle. I didn’t know what was in it. My uncle sent me to get a loaf of bread because tea was ready. It took me five minutes to go to the shop and return. My uncle brought two mugs from the kitchen, one for me and the other one for him. He put tea in the mugs and then told me to go and get some jam from the kitchen. When I was doing that, my uncle put some kind of liquid from the bottle he was carrying into my tea.

After his wife came home from the market, she found tea on the table. She was very hungry so she took my tea and drank it. When I came back to the table, I found my aunt screaming, without saying what had happened. She looked like a witch and soon people came to take her to the hospital. Soon, she died. All those arrangements meant for me got the wrong person.

That is why I believe that people who do good, receive good and people who do bad, receive bad. I learned that all that glitters is not gold. Let me tell you my friend, stop using drugs because they kill more than just users.

PEEING ON THE BUS

October 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

On Sunday, I took the bus from town in the evening. I settled across from a man who was about 30 years old. I heard the guy talking to himself and people on the bus were annoyed. After a few minutes the guy went to sleep. Soon, a bad smell took over the bus and when I turned to look at the guy, I saw that he had peed himself.

People started to scream, others yelled for the bus to stop in order for them to get out. The man who was sitting beside the one who peed himself was very mad because the urine had touched one side of his trousers, so he slapped him.

The man woke up immediately when he was slapped. He felt confused since he didn’t know what was going on. But soon he realized what he had done. No one would get near him and he starting to bang on the bus, shouting “stop, stop!” The smell got stronger. The conductor threw him out and the guy didn’t know where he was. The bus had already passed where he was supposed to get off.

After the guy was kicked off the bus, people realized that he was a drunkard, which explained why he misbehaved. No one knew whether guy arrived home safely or not. He must not have known that being so drunk is illegal.

This kind of thing has happened many times in Kenya due to drinking excessive alcohol. I estimate that in Kenya, 40% of people avoid drugs while 60% use them. Many problems are caused by abusing drugs like diseases, poverty, spoiled relationships in our families, wars, I think you already know this.

To reduce the number of problems caused by alcohol, people need to learn self control so they are able to continue with a good life. Without self control, problems will continue to affect us. The only way the government can end drug abuse in Kenya is to have more advertisements on the radio, in the papers, on posters, on television, and in magazines about all the problems caused by drugs. If only the man who embarrassed himself on the bus had been more aware of the negative consequences of drugs, perhaps he would not be in the state he is today.
